Ozerov (1887)
Lyric-dramatic tenor. People's Artist of Russian Soviet Federative
Socialistic Republic (1937).
In 1910 graduated from Moscow University
Law School.
Took singing lessons with A.M.Uspenski (until 1910), then with G.Alchevski, and
took opera courses of the RMO (1909-1913).
From 1912 on performed in different theaters.
In 1914-1917 worked as a judge. In 1917 performed in the Moscow "Altar" Opera Theater, in
1918 - in Moscow Theater of the Soviet of the Working Deputies, in 1919 - in
the Artistic Theater of The Union of Labor Organizations. In 1920-1946 -
soloist of the Bolshoi Theater.
Among his roles: German, Sadko,
Imposter-Prince, Golicyn, Othello, Duke, Rhadames, Canio, Jose, Werter.
Also gave concerts.
From 1931 - taught in the Bolshoi Theater, in
1947-1953 - in Moscow
conservatory (from 1948 - professor).
