Vitaliy Tarashenko (1947)
Born in the Soviet Republic
of Kirgizstan.
Graduated from Lvov
Musical College,
and then went to Moscow
conservatory (class of G.I.Titz), finishing it in 1979.
In 1982-83 perfected his skills in
Milano, in La-Scala school for young singers under the guidance of the famous
singer Giulietta Simionato.
In 1978-92 – leading soloist of the
Stanislavsky and Nemirovich-Danchenko Moscow Musical Theater, where he worked
with such figures as the conductors Mikhail Yurovsky and Vitaliy Kitaenko, and
the producers Lev Mikhailov and Gary Kupfer.
From 1992 – soloist of the Bolshoi
Theater.
Among his roles: German, Lensky,
Vodemon, Fenton, Peppe, Andrey, Turiddu,Vladimir Igorevich, Imposter-Prince,Shuyskiy,
Radames, Cavaradossi, the Young Gipsy, Paolo, Ismail, Calaf, Grishka Kuterma.
Laureate of the Erkel and Kodai
International vocalists competitions (2nd premium, 1982), laureate
of the competition “Verdi Voices”.
