His mother
was an opera singer.
Studied in
Sverdlovsk Music College
in the class of piano.
Fought in
the Second World War, was wounded, received medals.
In 1953
graduated from Ural Conservatory (class of I.Vigasin and later F.I.Obrazcovskaya).
In the last years of his studies was a soloist in Sverdlovsk Philharmonic.
In
1953-1983 - soloist of the Bolshoi Theater.
Among his
roles: Eric, Liandre, Alfred, Lorenzo, Finn, Sobinin, Golicyn, Shuyskiy,
Vladimir Igorevich, Guidon, Duke, Lykov and Bomeliy, Vsevolod, Paolo, Vodemon,
Rostovcev (“Decabristy”), Vasya (“Oktyabr), Kuragin and Barklay, Samoylov (“Mat”),
Kukushkin (“Povest o nastoyaschem cheloveke”), The Sick Gambler.
Left the
Theater because of illness.
